Graduates who've completed an IIR diploma course become eligible to be full members of the Association of Reflexologies.
When looking for reflexologies it's important to find a properly trained and experienced therapist. They should be able to demonstrate how effective reflexology can be to your health. Practitioners with appropriate training will have studied human anatomy and physiology and had hands on experience. A minimum of 100 hours of case studies and 100 hours of courses are required. A good professional reflexologies is demand and busy and probably won't come cheap.
Currently in the UK, there aren't any laws or regulations on qualifications of reflexologies. Anyone can set up business as reflexologies. Recently the Reflexology Forum has been developed and is working towards creating national occupational standards for reflexologies.
